What is a heat pump?
A heat pump is a machine that can provide heat energy that was previously extracted from a colder heat source. Often, the heat source is unusable waste heat, such as process heat. This energy is now "pumped" together with the electrical drive power of the heat pump to a higher temperature level, where it is used at the heat sink, for example for heating purposes.
Possible heat sources:
- waste heat from production processes (e.g. hydraulics of injection moulding machines, oven cooling, primary forming and forming processes, etc.)
- temperature range usually in the range of 10-40°C
Possible heat sinks:
- domestic water heating, building heating, tool preheating, steam generation, etc.
- temperatures up to 140°C possible (depending on heat source temperature)
Heat recovery / heating condensers for standard chillers up to 55 °C
- heat recovery for refrigeration units from the technotrans modular system by installing a heating condenser (priority remains with refrigeration).
- heating capacities depending on output size up to 1,500 kW per machine
- Heating medium temperature up to 55 °C (up to 90 °C with alternative refrigerants)
- Variable capacity regulation from 25 to 100
- Standard with refrigerant R513A
